(A few things! Seeing as this is a voice post, I'm going to give you a clip from xxxHolic so you can hear Doumeki's monotone. It's relatively un-spoilery, unless you can read Spanish subtitles/understand Japanese. Doumeki appears at like 3:40 but doesn't speak until 4:23. Another thing. AMRY! [A thud starts the post, followed by footsteps and rustling, like the journal fell and was picked up again. Footsteps lead away after a plop. The volume fluctuates, fading in and out, as though Doumeki is walking around his quarters. He sort of sounds frustrated and as though he's concentrating, but otherwise, is his usual monotone.]

[A long pause, then a grunt. This is Doumeki-ese for "what the hell?"]

'Pray, my love, make me thy canary to keep forever in the cage of thy bosom?'

For those of you that are remaining on board once we reach our location, I will be one of the officers staying behind. The captain can verify this.


(Basically this means "if you need anything, or something happens, tell me." It's probably one of the more easily translated things he's ever said to any of you. 8|)

It's been said once, but Ffamran is correct. Vash and I were merely in the kitchen with them during Ffamran's explanation to ensure that he was not on the ship for any other reason. Nothing happened otherwise, and the situation has been solved, for now.


Vash. I suggest we find a way to avoid later occurrences involving this entire topic.

There is no reason to be making a barricade, and it is far more of an obstruction than an aid.
